LUMINA WORKSHOPS

Private Photographic Intensives

Boutique. Curated. Intentional.

Lumina Workshops offers curated photographic intensives designed for photographers seeking depth, refinement, and meaningful growth.

Based in Northern New Mexico and available online, each session is structured around light, landscape, and your evolving creative goals. These are not group workshops—they are mentorship-driven intensives intentionally limited to preserve focus and instructional depth.

Half Day Intensive

A focused session with in-field coaching—perfect for golden light and one primary location.

Full Day Intensive

A full day working through changing light and varied terrain, with in-field coaching tailored to your pace and vision.

Multi-Day Intensive

Extended time in the field allows for thoughtful critique, project development, and meaningful creative growth.

Private instruction. No groups. No distractions.

Each Lumina intensive is conducted privately or with your selected group. Sessions are structured to align with your skill level, creative direction, and long-term goals.

Half-Day Intensives focus on targeted refinement in a single location or technical area. Full-Day Intensives expand into varied terrain and changing light. Multi-Day Intensives allow for sustained field study and project development.

Online sessions support portfolio critique, image refinement, and long-term mentorship. Hybrid formats allow continued guidance beyond your time in the field.

Founded & Directed by Leslie Alsheimer

Lumina Workshops was founded by photographer and educator Leslie Alsheimer, whose teaching background includes Santa Fe Workshops, Maine Media, Anderson Ranch, Nikon, and the founding of Santa Fe Digital Darkroom Photography Workshops. Lumina continues that tradition through private, mentorship-driven intensives designed for serious photographic growth.

Lumina Workshops evolved from Santa Fe Digital Darkroom Photography Workshops (est. 2004), an early photography education program focused on digital post-production and creative development. As the program expanded beyond software instruction into field-based mentorship and advanced study, Lumina Workshops was established to reflect that broader vision.
